Jefferson Parish
In Jefferson Parish, Paxen partners with Home Builders Institute (HBI) to offer Operation Reconstruct—a hands-on, work-readiness program for learners from the ages of 18 to 21. The program, which teaches employability skills such as worksite safety, basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, leads to a nationally recognized construction credential and industry apprenticeships.
Learners in Paxen’s program receive instruction in the art of seeking, securing, and succeeding in a position, which equip them with the knowledge and skills to stand out amid a competitive job market. They also learn key skills in the areas of critical thinking and responsible living.
