Florida

In Florida, Paxen Learning puts the sunshine in the Sunshine State by offering a series of educational experiences that help learners of all ages build better lives—and livelihoods. Each year, Paxen educates hundreds of Floridians in its twin life and career skills programs, known respectively as About Face! and Forward March. Delivered in partnership with the Florida National Guard, these programs have graduated more than 20,000 learners since their inception nearly 15 years ago.

Learners in our life skills programs receive necessary skills to play—and win—the game of life. These learners, who range in ages from 14 to 18, think critically, work effectively, and live actively and responsibly to improve both their lives and the lives of those in their communities.

Paxen’s work-readiness and job-placement programs help learners ages 16 and older seek, secure, and succeed in high-interest professions. Paxen learners experience real-world approach and cutting-edge instructional materials that provide the knowledge and skills they need to stand out amid a competitive job market. Our staff members collaborate with area employers to place learners in high-demand fields and on pathways to lasting career success.
